INGREDIENTS:
For Stuffing-
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 capsicum chopped
- 2 carrot chopped
- 7 cloves of garlic finely chopped
- 1/2 tpsn ginger
- 1/2 cabbage finely chopped
- 1/2 cup soyabean granules
- 1/4 tpsn Azinomoto (optional)
- 1/4 tpsn chilli powder
- 1/4 tpsn black pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- 5-6 tpsn of oil
- 1/4 tpsn of Soya, chilli & tomato sauce
- For Dough:
- 2 cups of whole wheat flour (can also use 1 cup whole wheat flour & 1 cup maida)
- Water as required
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1-2 tpsn oil
- A pinch of salt
METHOD:
1. Firstly, knead the dough nicely by mixing all the ingredients together.
2. Let the dough set with a damp cloth, meanwhile prepare the stuffing.
3. For stuffing, heat the oil in the pan, add ginger & garlic.
4. To it add chopped onion, after slight brown in colour, add capsicum, cabbage & Soya granules.
5. After 2 minutes, add black pepper powder, chilli powder, Azinomoto & salt to taste.
6. Cook it properly & take out the mixture in a separate bowl and let it cool.
7. Meanwhile, prepare small round shape from the dough in numbers.
8. Place the filling in between, and give the desired shape of dim sums.
9. Place it in a steamer, steam it for 5 minutes.
10. Serve the delicious Dim Sums wid some juliennes & Schezwan chutney.
SCHEZWAN CHUTNEY RECEPIE:
1. 1 big sized onion paste.
2. One whole garlic bunch paste.
3. 3 tpsn chilli powder
4. Salt to taste, a pinch of Azinomoto.
5. Mustard oil 8-10 tpsn.
6. In a pan, take the mustard oil, add onion paste to it.
7. After 3-4 minutes, add garlic paste to it, once you get the aromatic smell, add chilli powder, salt & Azinomoto (optional) to it.
8. Cook until the paste leaves oil.
9. Serve with tempering Dim Sums
