VEG MACARONI



MACARONI are dry pasta made from DURUM WHEAT

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups Macaroni
  • 1 capsicum sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 carrot sliced
  • 1 cup cabbage sliced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon ginger grated
  • 2 green chillies sliced
  • 1/2 tablespoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon chilli powder
  • A pinch of Ajinomoto (its a sodium salt) - Optional
  • Salt to taste
  • 1-1/2 tablespoon of soya sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato & chilli sauce each
  • 1/4th cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon of corn flour.
  • Water to boil macaroni

METHOD:

  • Take a pan, put 3 cups of water, add macaroni in it to boil, add 1/2 tablespoon of oil & a pinch of salt.
  • Do not over boil the macaroni, boil it for 5 minutes & drain out the water, let it cool.
  • Take a pan, put oil, on a medium flame add sliced green chillies, ginger & garlic.
  • Once it starts crackling, add onion, capsicum, carrot & saute it.
  • After 3 minutes, add black pepper powder, chilli powder & Ajinomoto.
  • Once all the material in the pan gets cooked, add soya, chilli & tomato sauce.
  • To it add salt according to taste, saute it for 2 minutes.
  • in a small bowl, take 1/4th cup water, add 1 tablespoon  of Corn flour & mix well.
  • Add it to the whole veggies & cook for 1 minute, it is used to make the gravy thick.
  • Then add the boiled macaroni and saute it for 3-4 minutes.
  • You can garnish it with finely sliced cabbage, carrot.
  • Serve it hot to enjoy the wonderful taste.
